Rev Anthea Ballam, Interfaith Minister & Priest
The Rev Anthea Ballam is an interfaith minister and priest based in Brighton, East Sussex.
Originally working as a journalist, press officer and company director, Anthea’s life changed when she was ordained as an interfaith minister in 2007. Since then she has worked as a committed minister, carrying out ceremonies - funerals, weddings and baby blessings, and also teaching prayer, meditation and visualisation to a wide variety of groups including cancer support groups.
She has a passionate interest in the use of visualisation to help people with serious diseases, and also runs guided meditation sessions for health and wellbeing. Her interest in guided meditation for healing led her to become a qualified hypnotherapist and NLP practitioner, and she now sees clients on a regular basis
Since her ordination Anthea has written prayers and readings which have been used in a wide number of ceremonies and services. She runs workshops on the following topics, all of which are subjects of ongoing research for her:

- Meditation and Visualisation
- Guided Meditation for Health
Anthea is a director of Barnes Healing Church and also a committed member of Brighton’s Phoenix Open Faith Community, a prayer based group that holds inspirational gatherings and sacred services.
A dedicated environmentalist, Anthea has stood as a Green Party candidate at two General Elections and continues to support green initiatives locally and nationally.
